GOP Debate #2

Seven Republican presidential hopefuls including Florida Governor Ron Desantis and former VP Mike Pence continue the verbal donnybrook tonight as the Ronald Reagan Presidential library hosts the second debate. However, all candidates trail “the elephant not in the room”* better known as former President Donald J. Trump who holds a commanding lead according to every poll. The seven challengers face the unenviable task of dancing around his record and perhaps even his existence. Do you ignore Trump and go on the offensive with the other also rans in the room or do you coax the beast out of his hibernation? And to what end does that help your candidacy? These are the tough question facing the combatants.
