Midterms Finally Over!!!

Well, it only took an extra month but the 2022 midterms are finally behind us as Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) won a runoff against former star running back Herschel Walker. Georgia voters gave Warnock a full term after he won a special election in 2020.

The result puts a cap an election cycle GOP stalwarts expected to dominate. However, the presumptive takeover of Congress left a split as with Republicans enjoying a razor thin majority in the House and the Democrats with 51 seats in the Senate. The policy consequences should prove fascinating not to mention what this tells about 2024.
